Moving from fear into faith

Yesterday, I got a text from someone and they had to go to the emergency room to get checked out. I had a choice. Even with all this fasting I’m doing, I do see that everyday is a choice. To listen; to worry; to surrender; to trust, to run scared, to be paranoid…. the lines between faith and fear seem like they are super easy to cross. Well- let me rephrase that: it’s easy to step from faith to fear and doesn’t feel as easy to reverse those steps. Why??

Philippians 4:6

6 Do not be anxious about anything,(A) but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

So last week during my 3 1/2 day fast, I felt like one thing I really learned was how easy it is to slide from faith to fear. Sometimes it felt like slides and other times like diving into fear. When I was successful, through the help of the Holy Spirit, guess what happened???

But/ we are specifically instructed NOT to be anxious about… ANYTHING! I mean what!!

Philippians 4:7 (NIV)

And the peace of God,(A) which transcends all understanding,(B) will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Yes- peace!

So yesterday while working, I had an opportunity to take what I am learning and live it out- it wasn’t easy but it was not impossible either… see are going to have things come up that stir up that fear. Once we start acting out in fear; that anxiety just clings right inside out head and keeps us focused….

Just focus on God’s promises for me and for my family. Focusing on what I want to see happened, spending time in thanks to God for all He is doing…. that is what I did and let me tell you- it was PEACEful! Still- the enemy tries to come distract me with all the hypothetical scenarios of what if/ especially after I used Google to search out possible reasons. But again and again and again; I refocused my brain back to Him. Back to the Angels and Holy Spirit working on our behalf. His love is so amazing; so inspiring and beautiful… I enjoy just basking in His love… His peace is priceless!! Soaking in all things Him- love, peace, joy, hope… so beautiful!

The prayer request was answered and I didn’t give into anxiety or fear. Thank you God, Holy Spirit, Jesus and Angels for answering my prayers and being there for me!!!
